After continually watching the Dexter credits before every episode, I really wanted to try a blood orange. Recently, while shopping at the Cleveland West Side Market, my fiance and I finally got our chance. They were very delicious and after seeing this recipe, I know I will be making this sometime in the future! The color of the orange really brings this drink to life.
Blood Orange Margarita
You Will Need:
3 Oz. Freshly Squeezed Blood Orange Juice
2 Oz. Tequila
1 Oz. Triple Sec
Splash of Agave Nectar Syrup (Optional but enhances the drink!)
Kosher or Sea Salt for Rim
Preparation:
Rub the rim of an old fashioned glass (or whatever vessel you prefer) with an edge of a blood orange slice. Swirl the rim through salt. Combine all remaining ingredients into a cocktail shaker, add ice and shake for 15 seconds. (Optional to add ice into your glass) Strain the cocktail into the glass and enjoy!
