I was born and raised in Buffalo so I always enjoy trying new chicken wing recipes and sauces. I saw this recipe and I think it would be delicious to try an asian twist, although it makes 8 wings…I dont know anyone from Buffalo that only cooks 8 wings so feel free to double or triple (etc.) the recipe.
Grilled Sesame Chicken
You Will Need:
8 Chicken Mid-Joints
4 Tsp. of Light Soy Sauce
1 Tsp. of Dark Soy Sauce
1 Tsp. of Cooking Wine
4-5 Cloves of Garlic, Lightly Smashed
1-1/2 Teaspoons of Sesame Oil
1 Tsp. of Sesame Seeds, Optional
Preparation:
Rinse and pat dry the mid-joint, make a small slit at both side of the joint so that the marinade will get into the flesh. Marinate the mid-joint with light and dark soy sauce, cooking wine and garlic cloves for at least 20 minutes or more in the fridge. Before baking, drizzling 1.5 teaspoons of sesame oil on the marinated mid-joints, toss well and arrange them on baking tray. Bake in pre-heated 180 degree oven, on grilled function for about 20 - 30 minutes or till golden brown and cooked through. Drizzle sesame seeds on the mid-joints at the last 2 minutes of baking time.

»Personally, I always love a “char” on my wings. A great alternative to cooking them only in the oven is to bake them for 20 minutes and then throw them on the grill for the rest of the time. And I usually have a little sauce left over to douse them after they come off the grill.
